About Me

Hello I’m Jearold Hersey. I am a user experience designer based in Austin. I've worn many hats in my career and I generally wear one every day (my regal headshot aside). A diverse set of experiences have informed my craft and have provided insight that I bring to my teams and projects.

I’ve worked in startup and large corporate environments and I’m culture builder. I’m ‘we’ competitive more than ‘I’ competitive so I lead teams from that perspective.

I’m a lifelong film fanatic. I have a movie club that meets weekly and I’m a member of Austin Film Society. I keep a film diary on Letterboxd.

Music is also big part of my life. I have a big music collection and go to a lot of live shows and festivals. I share mixes and chronically organize playlists on Apple Music (still a few on Spotify too).

I love sports. I went to every NBA stadium in one season and I’m working on a project about that experience. 

Increasingly I’m working on video-game design in my spare time.
